Autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatments in the field of dentistry

About the Regenerative Medicine Provision Plan templates

According to a report from the Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW), there were 2,141 regular reports received from facilities carrying out regenerative medicine between November 2014 and the end of March 2017. Approximately half of those reports involved dental treatments for periodontal disease and implants, etc., classified as Type 3 regenerative medicine.

Given this background, JSRM made a decision create and post templates for Regenerative Medicine Provision Plans (Form No. 1) as well as other required attachments for autologous PRP treatment in the field of dentistry. The provision of these templates is part of JSRM’s efforts toward the Project to Build Foundation for Promoting Clinical Research of Regenerative Medicine (National Consortium Project) supported by the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED).

These templates can also be used for other treatments classified as Type 3 regenerative medicine.

We hope that these templates will be useful to medical practitioners providing regenerative medicine treatments.
